We hope you saw Cathedral Illuminated: The Manager either in person from your car, or on our Facebook live stream earlier this month.
We posted the recording from each night and people continue to enjoy it. Collectively the light show recordings have been watched 54.9K times! Here’s a link to the Friday recording.
We are grateful for the partnership with the artist Peter Walker and musician David Harper with Luxmuralis, and the Lichfield Cathedral in Lichfield, Staffordshire, U.K. The Lichfield performance was unfortunately canceled due to updated U.K. restrictions in mid-December to address increased COVID cases. This made our decision to persevere with the U.S. debut of Cathedral Illuminated in a way that met Minnesota’s own restrictions on public gatherings during COVID all the more important. Following the event, Peter wrote:
“I am proud that together we have been able to bring this work to St Paul and to a city which has been through so much. Thank you for your effort and friendship, which although at distance is palpable. I trust this to be the start of a longer partnership.”
We want to extend another heartfelt thank you to our sponsors which helped defray our costs: Premier: Atomic Data, McGough, Premier Bank, Pioneer Press Community: American National Bank, Dr. John and Anne Dowdle, Dr. David and Barbara Dries, Heppner’s Auto Body, Stanley S. Hubbard, Kowalski’s Markets, Minnesota Public Radio, Nicholson Family Foundation, Fr. Francis Pouiliot, Saint Paul Parks Conservancy, Mary Schaffner and Robert Lee, Summit Avenue Residential Preservation Association, Excel Energy Minnesota.
And if you are able to donate here at year’s end, a gift of $10 makes a difference! www.cathedralheritagefoundation.org/donate.
Enjoy this collection of candid and professional photos taken over the three day event.
