This summer’s tourist hotspot: The Cathedral!

Viking River Cruises Stops By!

We excitedly await the arrival of Vikings River Cruise: Mississippi passengers as they dock on the banks of Saint Paul in the upcoming summers. They will tour at various landmarks like the Capitol and the James J. Hill House with a special stop at the St. Paul Cathedral. Local travel writer Todd Walker worked with Viking TV to grab a sneak peek of what the Cathedral has to offer.
To the right is the YouTube video to check out the full video on the tourist destinations in St. Paul. For the Cathedral feature including a conversation with Fr. Ubel on what tourists should get excited for, check out minutes 4:00-8:00.

The U of M Alumni Summer Band’s Final Summer Show

The University of Minnesota Band Alumni Society (UMBAS) comes together every summer to practice and put on shows throughout the Twin Cities metro area. The Cathedral will host the band’s final summer show tomorrow at 7 p.m. We hope you can join us on the front steps to hear the musical talents from various generations of Gopher alumni! Check out their Facebook page for more information on events and how to support the U of M Alumni Band.

We still need your help!

As mentioned previously, we are in the process of creating a virtual guided tour and are in need of expressive reading voices to help record the narration.
With a recent $5000 grant from the Hubbard Family Foundation, we have the ability to create quality recordings with your help.
Currently seeking native speakers in the following languages: Chinese, Japanese, Ukrainian, and Italian.
There will be 27 chapters to record – ranging between 60 and 90 seconds each. Financial compensation will be provided. Reach out to Carolyn Will at [email protected] or 612-414-9661 if you would like to assist with this project.
